Baptist Mission Guest House

Westlands, Kenya

Rock buildings with a crosswalk surrounded by lush trees and plant life

Built on a very small site in the Westlands suburb of Nairobi, the two-story Baptist Mission Guesthouse is a delightful respite from the urban chaos of the city. The complex is comprised of 20 sleeping units, which share a common tea room between paired units. Forming a square around a landscaped courtyard, the in-facing corridors encourage conversations. Also included in the complex are a common laundry, lounge, and administrative spaces. Msaada designed the Guesthouse, tendered the project, and was responsible for the supervision of construction.
